We are dedicated to producing sound healthy dogs that are raised in a loving family environment. Our breeding plans are chosen with careful consideration to the physical qualities, temperament and health of our dogs. A lot of thought and planning is put into our breeding decisions because preservation of the Ridgeback is essential for the breed's future. Our dogs must pass their health clearances. We use OFA for hips & elbows, and do certified screening for Cardiac, CERF, Thyroid and Degenerative Myelopathy. Another factor that plays an important part in good health is diet, which is why we believe in providing our dogs with a Real food diet.
Our dogs are family companions first and foremost and show, breeding, performance dogs second. All our dogs share our home. We do not believe this breed does well raised outdoors or in kennels.
Puppies are whelped and raised inside our home, are well socialized, and have their personality continually assessed in order to help match new owners with their perfect companion. Our Ridgebacks are raised with care and consistency and a lot of time is spent with our puppies contributing to their excellent temperaments.
